Great to peruse a movie go outside the box with some artistry while staying accurate to the person’s epic. Worth your time and money.

There was another one which I owned briefly that seemed exquisite
good except it was all in spanish with no subtitles, so I regretfully
had to return it. But this one I saw tonight for the first time on PBS

Celia Cruz was and is forever an icon & worldwide
ambassador of salsa music, adore, plan and afro-caribbean culture in general!
Her rallying weep…AZUCAR!!–Was known by all who loved her fabulous state,
flamboyant & overjoyed personality as well as her mountainous infectious spirit throughout
her unprecedented 50 yr career!
I liken her to grand american artists of the past like Ella Fitzgerald,
Louis Armstrong, Mahalia Jackson, etc., in that she transcended
just music and was something remarkable more on the world stage and to all who knew of her!
Like the aforementioned artists, Celia Cruz’s music, deny and personality
got down deep inside your soul irregardless of rush, language, socio-economic
background or education level!–Her funeral, like the funerals of Ella, Louis & Mahalia,
was attended by heads of area, her peers within the music & entertainment industry,
and of course her devoted fans, who filed past her inaugurate coffin in both Miami & Fresh York City
100,000 strong to indicate their care for for their “La Reina”, who was such an integral part
of their lives!–Again, this is a must-have DVD for Celia Cruz fans and worth every dollar!
