After half a century, WILD STRAWBERRIES yet glimmers in these darkling days. A meditation on conventional age, selfishness, duty, worship, and reconciliation, the film traces the last days of a respected but unloving physician (played by the elderly, dilapidated, colossal Victor Sjostram, who passed away during the making of the film [in the 1920s he had starred in the daunting mute THE OUTLAW AND HIS WIFE, location in Iceland]) . The main character undertakes a meander by car with his daughter-in-law to receive an honorary degree from Alma Mater. On the arrangement he adopts three college students and a snarling, embittered married couple. He visits his very very elderly and very icy mother–and always there are visions of the sorrows, regrets, and bitternesses of his past. At the film’s luminescent end the doctor at last casts off musty recriminations to execute a unruffled repose lulled by a radiant scene from long ago with Mother and Father in joyful tableau. One of cinema’s outstanding achievemnts. But I too am an former man.

Wild Strawberries is an proper point to of the gargantuan spectrum of human emotion. At first view an immediate disdain is inspired by the main character, until the anecdote unfolds revealing the source of his callousness. By the raze I felt nothing but a profound sense of empathy and compassion. Bergman has swiftly become one of my celebrated directors, and in my idea, this film is among his best.

This is the ninth 4-disc MST3K collection from Rhino Video. It features two shows hosted by creator Joel Hodgson and two hosted by head writer Mike Nelson. This amazing collection plumbs the creative depths of the explain from its first season all the design to season eight. Three episodes advance from the Comedy Central years, while the fourth expose is from the first season of the point to produced for the Sci-Fi Channel. Here is a synopsis of each episode:

104- WOMEN OF THE PREHISTORIC PLANET

“Hi-keeba!” This is the episode from which the most common MST3K regain phrase of all time originates! It’s a 1966 color science fiction (SF) film wherein a spaceship crashes on a primordial planet inhabited by worn savages. Time dilation while traveling faster than light causes the rescue crew to approach eighteen years later. By then, all of the break survivors are uninteresting, but one of their offspring, a young man named Tang, survives. One member of the rescue crew, Linda, meets Tang and falls in cherish.

This disc has a brief extra feature, wherein Irene Tsu, who played Linda in the movie, provides a short introduction to the film.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection, Vol. 9! Click Here

This is one of the best episodes from MST3K season one. If you haven’t seen a season one reveal before, be warned that the show’s sets were mighty cheaper looking than in later seasons and Josh Weinstein voiced Tom Servo; Kevin Murphy was tranquil working only leisurely the scenes at this time. However, the cleverness of the MST3K thought, talent of the performers and the quality of the writing came together well for this episode and the results are quite hilarious. Listen for the terrific running gag, “Tang, it’s not unprejudiced for breakfast anymore.”

207- WILD REBELS

In this 1967 biker film, a puny motorcycle gang plans a bank heist. When they attempt to enlist a stock car racer to be their getaway car driver, the police recruit the racer to infiltrate the gang and narrate on them. This movie has some premise issues to say the least. There are many hilarious location oversights and credibility stretches in this film for you to survey.

This was the first episode of MST3K I ever saw and it is a actual winner and detached one of my favorites. Dialogue like “You’re so square you’re like a box, baby,” will amuse you throughout. The movie is engrossing and attractive compared to some of the slower films ragged on the exhibit. The host segments are all sterling and hilarious, especially the “Wild Rebels Cereal” commercial. Recognize this one repeatedly “for the kicks, baby.”

613- THE Unfavorable Speed (with short: KEEPING Smart AND Orderly)

Ed Wood, who also directed Idea 9 From Outer Set and Bride of the Monster, directed this 1961 crime drama about the “smut” industry. It is very tame by today’s standards. A series of young women are murdered and the police suspect the crimes are related to the “smut” (i.e., naked photographs) industry. Gloria, the front woman for the smut racketeers, figures prominently as she and her henchman continue to lure gullible, innocent young women to their dirty business and procure rid of those who threaten retaliation. Behold for Harvey B. Dunn (who played Grandpa in Teenagers From Outer Location and Capt. Tom Robbins in Bride of the Monster) as Mr. Romaine.

Conrad Brooks, who played Connie in the film, provided a brief introduction as an extra feature.

This episode also contains the fun hygiene short, “Keeping Well-kept and Well-organized.” Host segments, possibly out of a sense of superior taste, eschew the film in favor of other elements. In this case, they center on some antics concerning TV’s Frank.

812- THE INCREDIBLY Queer CREATURES WHO STOPPED LIVING AND BECAME MIXED-UP ZOMBIES

In this surprising surreal, dreary low-budget narrate from 1964, a young man named Jerry acquiesces to his girlfriend’s interrogate to visit the fortuneteller at a carnival. The fortuneteller gives him heart-broken news, so he wanders off to glimpse the fortuneteller’s sister, who is an exotic dancer. During this visit Jerry is deliberately entranced into becoming an unwitting killer. Soon, Jerry’s friends become suspicious and try to glean to the bottom of the deplorable place.

This film is legendary for it’s “incredibly unusual” and extremely long title. It aged to develop it onto UHF channel programming help when independent TV stations showed low-budget SF and awe movies to gain distinguished of their airtime. Although at times slow, confusing, or both, there are a few elements of creativity in the film, mostly concerning the rich expend of color and surreal imagery.

Host segments in this episode focus on the film, including a segment in which Crow and Tom try to read Mike’s fortune.

In summary, there is Sizable comedy to be had in this spot, with a wide variety of film genres and periods of MST3K being represented across four hilarious episodes. Don’t be square; fetch it now “for the kicks!”

Rhino has set together an proper mix of episodes for Volume Nine, including one from the series’ first year that aired on the Comedy Channel (before it merged with Ha! to become Comedy Central) . Unless you were a fan of the note at that time and had the Comedy Channel on your cable system or knew of someone who did and taped the episodes for you to borrow, chances are you never saw any episodes from that first year because Best Brains hated airing them. Besides, and collection that includes both Ed Wood and Ray Dennis Steckler is worth the money if only for the bots’ comments. However, the most compelling reason to engage is that if you’re a Mystie, you already have the eight other volumes, so why discontinuance here?

104 – WOMEN OF THE PREHISTORIC PLANET – Ultra-cheesy grievous budget sci-fi flick about two astronauts (Wendell Corey and John Agar) who bring together Linda and Tang to populate the planet. Featuring shoddy sets, man-eating plants, giant lizards, a colossal spider, Lyle Waggoner, and Stuart Margolin, it’s produced by Jack Broder, the man who gave us “Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla.” This episode is where the well-known MST phrase “Hi-Keeba!” comes from, uttered in the movie by one of the supporting cast. The film is introduced by Linda Tsu, who played Irene.

207 – THE WILD REBELS – An incoherent mess of a movie about a stock car driver who is talked into being the getaway car driver for a gang called Satan’s Angels who are about to pull a bank job. The guy who talks out hero into this is a cop planning ac trap, but the rebels hasten.

613 – THE Outrageous Hurry – Ed Wood! A film about a fiend who goes berserk watching a sex film and stalks the leading lady. Detectives Kenne Duncan and James Moore perceive to pick up the fiend and kill the film that caused the crime. Sight for Ed himself in a fight scene. Conrad Brooks does the honors of the intro.

812 – THE INCREDIBLY Exclusive CREATURES WHO STOPPED LIVING AND BECAME MIXED-UP ZOMBIES – A natural for MST 3000 based on the title alone, and the title says it all. From Ray Dennis Steckler (as hero Cash Flagg) comes the first monster musical about a gypsy fortune teller who hypnotizes patrons, turns them into homely monsters by throwing acid in their faces, and collects them in cages in the basement. Of course the monsters crash loose and extinguish everyone in study until the police come. Mike and the bots do an good job keeping up with one.

Flicker Alley has been coming up with some intelligent sets focusing on early cinema. This is their latest residence, and it looks to rival Kino’s DVD state on Edison on being a right contribution to the history of cinema on DVD. There is a cheaper site out there on Melies, but ultimately you derive what you pay for when it comes to restful film. If you are enthusiastic in Melies I suggest you wait for this region. The following is the press release for this set:

Buy,Download, Or Stream Georges Melies: First Wizard of Cinema! Click Here

This 5-disc DVD dwelling, includes Méliès’s first film, Partie de Cartes and his last, Voyage de la Famille Bourrichon, and brackets more than 170 others. Included are the renowned and renowned travel films, among them A High-tail to the Moon, The Impossible Voyage, The Kingdom of Fairies, The Merry Frolics of Satan, The Palace of the Arabian Nights, and The Conquest of the Pole. Fifteen films are reproduced from partial or complete hand-colored unique prints, thirteen are presented with the novel English narrations written by Méliès. The duration of these films ranges from less than half a itsy-bitsy (The Misfortunes of an Explorer, 1900), to more than half an hour (Conquest of the North Pole, 1912) . Also included is a filmed tribute, Le Stout Méliès (1953) by Georges Franju in its recent English version, and a gargantuan booklet containing essays by filmmaker Norman McLaren and historian John Frazer.

This unparalleled collection, several years in the making and produced by Eric Lange and David Shepard, calls for a re-evaluation of the early years of cinema by scholars and historians, for it reveals Méliès to have been the most accomplished filmmaker in the world during that time. For example, his 1896 film The Nightmare has seven shots with real matches on cuts, when Lumiere, Edison and Biograph films of that year were one shot each. By 1902, Méliès was making wondrous films such as Gulliver’s Travels Among the Lilliputians, which are enormously inspiring even today.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Georges Melies: First Wizard of Cinema! Click Here

The films were gathered from archives and collectors all over the world. Pictorial quality of most of the films is remarkably good; in addition, they have been digitally stabilized and cleaned as considerable. Current music has been commissioned for all of the unique Méliès films by some of the finest practitioners of soundless film accompaniment, including Brian Benison, Eric Beheim, Frederick Hodges, Robert Israel, Neal Kurz, Alexander Rannie, Joseph Rinaudo, Rodney Sauer and the Mont Alto Motion Record Orchestra, and Donald Sosin.

Of all the early film pioneers, I have always had a soft plot for Georges Melies. I savor tricks and magic as they invite you to suspend disbelief and obtain you possess, if only temporarily, that anything is possible. After all that is what movies do especially peaceful movies and no one in the mute era did it better than Melies. The incredible thing about him is that he did it so early starting succor in 1896! This 5 DVD location collects films from a 17 year period (1896-1913) and presents them under the best of conditions.

The bulk of these have never been on home video before and they are a revelation. In addition to the famed fantasy films (A Plod TO THE MOON, THE IMPOSSIBLE VOYAGE) and trick films (THE LIVING PLAYING CARDS, THE UNTAMEABLE WHISKERS), there are serious films like those relating the legend of the Dreyfus affair, a hand tinted version of the life of Joan Of Arc from 1900, and even a woman taking a bath standing up in AFTER THE BALL (nudity in 1897!) . This status reportedly contains all 173 known surviviving films by Melies which were unexcited from archives all over the world. The films range from around 1 dinky to Melies’ magnum opus THE CONQUEST OF THE POLE (1912) which lasts for half an hour. I especially relish the later films with their Gustave Dore’ like backgrounds and 19th century stage mechanics. The quality of the shorts is very proper for the most portion with the earliest ones being in the roughest shape. The musical accompaniment by various artists is uniformly gorgeous and helps to bring these century veteran treasures to life.

If there is a spot with the location it’s that Melies has a tendency to do many of the same things over and over again which doesn’t bother me but will probably annoy many viewers. Honest remember that Melies had no notion that we’d be watching his movies over and over again courtesy of DVD but I’m obvious he’d be overjoyed. The plot also comes with Georges Franju’s 1953 touching tribute LE GRANDE MELIES which features son Andre Melies as his father and his long time collaborater and later wife Jeanne D’Alcy (the woman taking the bath in AFTER THE BALL plot befriend in 1897) collected going strong at 88.

Although the place is rather pricey it does approach from Flicker Alley so you know that it’s a quality presentation complete with lots of extras. If you are truly eager in the history of early cinema or like me you relish being fooled by a magician’s tricks or appreciate the thought of traveling serve in time, then you need to glean a method to earn this spot. You won’t be disappointed.

The Unfortunate of Suzumiya Haruhi was the surprise hit anime of the Spring 2006 season (on Japanese TV) and its popularity is not without merit.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Volume 3! Click Here

The series ranges from wacky screwball hijinks to scientific discussion on parallel universes that have an proper basis in valid science. The series is often called an “otaku fest” but that’s misleading in that while it has fun with its homages (Peer for the homage to Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney in Remote Island Syndrome Fraction 2), it also contains a tubby fledged plotline with a compelling mystery at it center because in TMoSH, all roads lead to one Haruhi Suzumiya, a sparkling, hyperkenetic 15 year weak high school student, who is searching for aliens, ESPers, time travelers and the like to assuage the boredom and uncomfortable that mundane life can bring.

But while Haruhi is definitive center, the anecdote is told through the eyes of Haruhi’s pragmatic, chilly eyed, comical voiced classmate, Kyon. Kyon (not his sincere name and one of the many mysteries of the series) and his deadpan narration provides the perfect counterweight to Haruhi’s frenetic energy.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Volume 3! Click Here

In the recent TV broadcast, the series was not shown in episode order and it was an involving fade that kept viewers on their toes (and it is also available by Bandai under the Microscopic Edition disks), but in this volume, I’m rather blissful to have the episodes in order because it contains my approved two episodes (outside of Episode 00 aka The Adventures of Asahina Mikuru) called “Remote Island Syndrome” Allotment 1 and 2 are played one after the other. (In the unusual broadcast, share 1 was played and then the 2nd section was played almost three weeks later.)

To me, this two parter represents the lengths that those around Haruhi will go to hold her “eager” in the world and maintain her boredom at bay. As the events unfold almost like one of those abolish mystery dinner theaters, the viewer is never quite distinct of what is trusty, what is not and who is affecting the events. There are also small hints in seemingly unrelated scenes of what may or may not happen in the future.

The Japanese snort cast is unbelievable and their chemistry is all too apparent, but as powerful as I appreciate the Japanese cast (especially Aya Hirano as Haruhi and Tomokazu Sugita as Kyon), I very remarkable like the English cast’s work. Crispin Freeman gets the job done as Kyon and there are even times when I consider he surpasses the work of Sugita in that he gives Kyon, who can sometimes be frustratingly sarcastic, more warmth and therefore more likability without sacrificing Kyon’s overt need for detachment. Stephanie Sheh perfectly matches her Japanese counterpart, Yuko Goto, as the adorable Mikuru. Michelle Ruff’s Yuki isn’t quite as advantageous as Minori Chihara by itself, but when matched against her castmates, her Yuki fits in quite well. I had to warm up to Johnny Yong Bosch’s Itsuki, because I enjoyed Daisuke Ono’s contrivance of portraying charming dullness, but by this third disc, I’m sold on Bosch’s performance. But the one I am most surprised by is Wendee Lee’s Haruhi. This is the same woman who did the outrageous Faye Valentine of Cowboy Bebop! When I first heard she would be Haruhi, I groaned. I esteem her Faye, but Haruhi? No design! But Lee is more than up to the absorbing task of performing the speedy Haruhi. Hirano’s Haruhi is hard to top as it is a signature role for Hirano, but Lee comes so cessation to matching Hirano’s breakthrough performance that Lee’s work deserves its possess special praise.

All in all, I give a lot of credit to the production and cast (both Japanese and English), Kyoto Animation, and Bandai for delivering on a spacious product with a job well done.

Now that I’ve got the first 3 dvds, I’m looking forward to the 4th and final DVD with spacious anticipation.

Thank you to Universal for bringing serve a classic television program that features Genuine teen idols: Shaun Cassidy, Parker Stevenson, and Pamela Sue Martin. I must also applaud the supporting cast of William Schallert as Carson Drew and Edmund Gilbert as Fenton Hardy.

Universal, please do not maintain us waiting for seasons two and three! The season two premiere found Nancy and the Brothers Hardy working together for the very first time – a view which has since found its arrangement into many novels. For fans of the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Casefiles (novels written in the slow 1980s), I abet you to check out these DVDs! The Casefiles would’ve inspired some amazing scripts for this series. It’s miserable they didn’t near along a decade earlier. Overall, the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries is a very cold tv series that deserves to be seen in its entirety once again. Let’s explain a current generation a Frank, Joe, and Nancy who value respect, trust, independence, perseverance, confidence and so great more! After all, Loyal idols are so difficult to rep these days.

For those of us who are nostalgic fans of this 1977-1978 ABC Sunday night prove, the word that this first season would be released on DVD is pure magic. This is the mountainous first season, when Parker Stevenson/Shaun Cassidy alternated with the gorgeous Pamela Sue Martin in a series of weekly detective adventures. This is the season with the underrated, divine Lisa Eilbacher as Callie Shaw, the Hardy Boys’ best friend and frequent helper. This is a present one could never have expected would arrive to DVD. Until now there were SOME episodes on videos (not all easy to accept), and the usual Ebay bootleg crowd with lousy characterize quality. So, if you were a fan of this tremendous unhurried ’70s innocent fun, win ready for March…we’ve waited a long time for this.

Compare Prices on Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump is a rare movie that succeeded on all levels. It was a box office wreck ranking among the top five highest grossing movies of all time. But it was also a well-known darling, garnering across the board praise and a truckload of awards. The movie became a cultural phenomenon, spawning cook books, quote books, a top ten soundtrack album and lines like “dreary is as dumb does” and “life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna gain” have permeated our dialect. The movie has a nostalgic, feel obedient vibe thanks to the dimwitted Forrest’s creep through 60’s and 70’s touchstone events. Underneath all those warm feelings lies a darkness. Abominable things happen to honest about everyone Forrest comes in contact with. His best friend Bubba is killed in Vietnam, his other friend Lt. Dan loses both his legs, his mother dies of cancer and his beloved Jenny dies of AIDS. Even the eminent people Forrest comes across meet with anxiety, President Kennedy & John Lennon are assassinated, George Wallace is shot and Elvis Presley dies young. There are obliging performances all around. Sally Field is feisty as Forrest’s mama, Mykelti Williamson is droll as Bubba, Gary Sinese as Lt. Dan is a perfect rough edged foil to Forrest and Robin Wright as Jenny portrays the confusion that young people of the times felt perfectly. While all those performances are of high quality, Forrest Gump is Tom Hanks’ tour de force. He is utterly gleaming as Forrest. He is in virtually every scene of the movie and never once does he fail to astound. He becomes Forrest and makes you care what happens to him. Mr. Hanks deservedly won his second consecutive Best Actor Oscar for the role and cemented himself as the best actor of his generation and one of the best of all time.

Forrest Gump is one of the best film of all time. Definitely the best Zemeckis’s work so far and he has achieve so mighty soul and depth to this 1994 Academy Award winning Best Narrate. This movie portrays the life of a slow-witted character who gets embroiled in various ridiculous situations. He was a Vietnam war hero, received a congressional medal of honour, shook hands with many US Presidents and was a successful owner of a microscopic company. We gather to witness many world events through the eyes of a supposedly “stupid” character. The paddle and ride of the movie was perfect as we scramble through various historical events like the Vietnam War, assasination of JFK and the Watergate Scandal. Tom Hanks gave an undeniably astounding performance as Forrest and truly deserves the Oscar that he earned. Gary Sinise gave a agreeable performance as Lieutenant Dan in the movie. Even though he was only nominated and did not catch anything, I felt he really deserves the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. The scene where he pulled Forrest down from the bed and cursed him for saving his life, honest simply blew me away. Sally Field is also unbelievable as Forrest’s mother and deserves the Oscar as well. The line “Forrest, you have to do your best what God has given you. Be daring Forrest, be intrepid in everything you do. Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you gonna accumulate.” really moved me and brought me tears. No movie had bring such emotion in me. Robin Wright did her role well as Forrest’s cherish interest and complements well to Forrest’s life. The actors truly brings the characters to life and I must salute Zemeckis for choosing the perfect cast. The technical aspect of the film is objective generous. The visual effects is unlike anything we have seen before. Many movies have not fully utilised the CGI effects to complement it. Nowadays, filmmakers fair want to note what special effects they can do rather than what the special effects can do for the film. In Forrest Gump, visual effects are utilised to their best to fabricate improbable scenes. Scenes like the flying feather, Lieutenant Dans’ missing legs, Vietnam War, meeting of the president is objective astounding. This is what visual effects is all about. To get impossible scenes to the gargantuan mask. Alan Silvestri’s film gain is one of the best scores I have ever heard. From the touching piano section at the beginning feather scene to the uplifting tune of Forrest hugging Jenny at the Washington square scene, Alan’s award-winning salvage truly brings the perfect mood and emotion to the film. Every aspect of this movie is simply pleasant from the eye-popping special effects, film editing, astonishing accept, sound, to the theme of the movie. This movie makes us realised that we all have a purpose in life and that we all have the ability to do the impossible. Forrest Gump tells us that we all should have strong principles and beliefs to succeed in life. Forrest only believes in 3 person. He believes in God, his momma and Jenny. Nothing can go past them. Honest spy at what Forrest has achieved. He is the President of a itsy-bitsy company, a war hero, a Ping-Pong champion, and a jubilant father. Forrest Gump simply tells us that we can attain anything in life as long as we assign our best disaster and bear in everything that we do. Forrest Gump is no doubt one the best films I have ever seen. It changes my perception of life and makes me realised that we all have a purpose in this world. We probably won’t be seeing anything like this forever. A apt masterpiece.

“Shrek The Third” might lack the originality of the unique film, but it’s unexcited a very kindly movie. Shrek is once again attach into an sorrowful spot, except this time around he isn’t trying to obtain Fiona’s heart or notice her parents. This time he’s been chosen to replace his father-in-law as the king of Far Far Away. He speedy finds out that there is one other potential heir to the throne called Arthur. Once he figures out where Arthur is located, Shrek, Donkey, and Puss site out to win the boy and convince him that he should be king. Before leaving, however, Shrek is weighed down with more pressure when he finds out that he’ll soon be a dad. While Shrek’s away, Charming gathers up all of fairytale-dom’s meanest villains (including Captain Hook and the Injurious Witch from “Snow White”) and stages a successful coup to become ruler of Far Far Away. Using Fiona and her friends as bait, Charming awaits Shrek’s return in order to effect him off and become the rightful king.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Shrek the Third! Click Here

I consider the reason that many people disfavor this film so noteworthy is that the spotlight shines considerably less on Shrek, Donkey, and Puss than it did it the previous films. Fiona, Snow White, Cinderella, Beauty (of “Beauty and the Beast”), Rapunzel and Sleeping Beauty all accept a decent amount of camera time. Lesser sidekicks like Pinocchio and Gingey also pick the camera off of Shrek. Even Charming gets tremendous screentime along with his fellow villains. Does this earn the film any better or worse than the others? Not in my thought. In fact, the princesses add quite a bit of humor to the film (not to mention a sweet action sequence state to a camouflage of Heart’s “Barracuda”) . Charming and his companions also offer some fun moments. The addition of two other characters, Arthur and Merlin, also give the viewer more to laugh at.

I’ll agree with others who stated that the fart jokes and other sophomoric humor can be excessive, but no more than in the other films. In fact, jokes like that got the children laughing more than in the other two films which, in my understanding, had more humor for the adults than this sequel.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Shrek the Third! Click Here

All of the new thunder talents create it support for the film, and a few unusual voices are added as well. These include Justin Timberlake, Eric Slothful, and a few extinct SNLers. It’s nice to examine that SNL’s castmates stick so finish together.

Overall, this film is better marvelous for the youngsters when compared to the other films. However, that doesn’t mean that the adults in the audience miss out on any of the fun. This will be a determined engage when it rolls out on DVD. I recommend it as a take.

Shrek The Third is a satisfactory movie with fabulous animation. I marvel at that animation! However, the residence is honest average and it didn’t really gain my attention the arrangement I hoped it would. I reflect after this Dreamworks needs to travel on to novel originate recent characters in fresh films; but only time will recount if Dreamworks wants to milk this theme yet again. The voiceovers are very well done and the DVD has a plethora of extras.

When the action begins, Shrek (Mike Myers) and his wife Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) are filling in for the ailing King Harold (John Cleese) . Unfortunately, King Harold passes away and, with his dying wish, names Shrek as the rightful heir to the throne. This doesn’t sit too well with Shrek who has been suffering from public relations embarrassment to public relations embarrassment as he launches ships with such strength that the ship blows a hole and sinks–and more. King Harold says, unprejudiced before he dies, that the only other heir to the throne would be a young man at school named Arthur (Justin Timberlake) . Immediately after the funeral for King Harold, Shrek, Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and Puss-in-boots (Antonio Banderas) spot flee to pick up Arthur at school. Things go downhill even more when Artie (as Arthur is called) is ambivalent at best to become a king; and it’s up to Shrek and his buddies to convince Arthur to become king.

Of course, things abet in Far, Far Away Land aren’t mighty better. Prince Charming (Rupert Everett) and his cronies choose over the kingdom and imprison Fiona and her friends including Fiona’s mother. Things sight handsome bleak.

Of course, the status can go anywhere from here. (Yes, I know, you’ve read the spoilers by now but I won’t give them away anyway.) Will Fiona and the other women be able to smash free and fight the outrageous Prince Charming? How does Shrek react when he finds out he’s becoming a father? What happens to Puss-in-boots and Donkey when an ancient wizard accidentally casts a spell on them so that they are trapped in each other’s bodies? Recognize the movie and derive out!

The DVD extras are very extensive. The commentary is great; and I like the bonus feature that includes a man going through a storyboard of a deleted scene at the school where Arthur is standing on line to gain his lunch. There are comic “suggestions” from Donkey, Shrek and other characters as to how to deal with the problems of parenthood; and there are web links as well.

Overall, this is a honorable peril and a movie to perceive when a better one is unavailable. However, Shrek fans will adore this movie. This is best righteous for families with kids that are at least 8 or 9 years old-fashioned because of some rude humor that you wouldn’t want younger kids to experience.

This is another wonderfully ridiculous film that I first came across on Chiller Theater. It was made to cash in on the success of another fear anthology, “Dr. Terror’s House of Horror’s,” but they made it on a cut-rate budget, and it shows. John Carradine, in a bad-fitting tux, introduces five episodes designed to terrify you. At any rate they do you laugh out loud. The tales are as follows: The Witches Clock” (sic), King of the Vampires,” “Monster Raid,” “Spark of Life,” (with Lon Chaney, Jr. as a scientist in the 1880s trying to revive a crazed murderer. Gaze for Lon’s wristwatch.) and “Count Alucard,” a vampire memoir starring Mitch Evans as the vampire. He gets to fight a werewolf. (!) Rochelle Hudson, an ingénue at Paramount in the 30s, is in there, too, picking up a pay check and trying to rise above the material.

However, let me give the last word to film critic and author Michael Weldon (The Psychotronic Encyclopedia of Film) : The sets sight straight out of a play set aside on by a rural high school. The script is completely ludicrous. In other words – total entertainment! Don’t miss it.”

Endorsement like this don’t reach every day.

Chaney and Carradine are laughable enough, but the other actors (ok! almost actors) will effect you double over in laughter after each recent record. You will commence to view the same actors playing different characters, in each epic (What Range!) All kidding aside, this movie will give one the feel of actually being in a drive-in during the 50’s & 60’s. This is a fun, camp, drive-in anxiety film, meant to be enjoyed objective for what it is. Have Fun!

I didn’t know what to quiz from this film that I saw at an IMAX Theater but I knew I had to peruse it. I’m a scuba diving enthusiast and I esteem coral reefs. Coral Reef Adventure is an eco tour of reefs and the dangers that exist for this dazzling ecosystem. We follow Howard and Michele Hall, underwater photographers and authors, in their sight of coral reefs to succor Rusi Vulakoro, a diver in Fiji, to leer the cause of a dying reef.

Much of the underwater footage is from the Large Barrier Reef, Fiji, and French Polynesia. To say the images are breath taking is an understatement. Watching this film objective re-enforced why I appreciate to dive. I esteem the sea and all its wonder. At the slay of the film a exiguous child sitting in front of me told his parents that’s what he wanted to do when he grows up, that is dive for a living. I fancy that so I told his parents about my dive club that teaches diving and has a program for children to play in to pool with dive equipment. There is nothing like seeing a wee one learning to dive.

As for the diving, it was intriguing. The divers in this film are experienced professional divers and therefore they dive to depths all recreational divers should cease determined of. In the film you’ll seek depths of 350 and accumulate a dependable feel for the wonder of scuba diving. Also, there was a guest appearance by Jean-Michele Cousteau; son of renowned Jacque Cousteau, father of scuba diving. I also took a valid examine of the equipment that was frail and was amazed at the employ of re-breathers. I want a re-breather now.

Anyway, you’ll eye lots of coral, fish, manta rays, gray sharks, drift diving, improbable depths, and aesthetic scenery. The film was incredibly educational and made me believe of all the adventure I am missing. This is another film to spark your wonder lust for adventure and instill a respect for nature.

If you beget a high raze HTPC (home theater personal computer), and a HD gracious point to, you owe it to yourself to lift this movie. Simply effect, the Microsoft WMV transfer in high definition (both 720p and 1080p) is the best image I have ever seen on our home theater’s very expensive projection system($30k JVC Lcos system) .

There are some downsides….

1) Requires a very bulky computer. 3.0 Ghz is recommended by Microsoft, although some are getting away with lower powered machines by using the lower-quality 720p verion

2) Proprietary audio codec requires you to have the computer decode the audio, and send it to your amplifier via analog cables. There is no DTS or DD track on the HD version.

3) DRM – You have a choice of one video player, Windows Media 9. The movie has digial rights management on it, which can only be viewed by a Microsoft player. While this implementation is great better than the T2 high definition release (which required you to have an internet connection to earn authorization), it’s serene a bit limiting.

Despite the problems, This is good up there with the best film based HDTV remark I have viewed from HDnet or HD HBO.

Pokemon All-Stars is a ten-disc DVD area that was released to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Pokemon. Each DVD features a Pokemon character, and the disc is supposed to include episodes that feature the Pokemon on the box. On a couple of the discs, I wondered why an episode was included for a particular Pokemon. One of the biggest examples of this was the inclusion of “Fit to be Tide” on the Squirtle disc. While Ash may have faded Squirtle for section of the gym battle, the episode actually focuses a lot more on Lampras (and would have been more appropriate for a Lampras disc if one had been made) .

The ten Pokemon featured in the region are: Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Charizard, Squirtle, Blastoise, Eevee, Bulbasaur, Lugia, Charmander, and Mudkip. The ten Pokemon that ended up being featured in the site were voted on by Pokemon fans.

Each disc only contains three episodes. There are absolutely no special features. This is a decent box place for someone wanting to procure some episodes of the series in a relatively inexpensive manner. However, for die-hard fans who want to gather all of the episodes in the series are probably better off acquiring the DVD boxes of each season as they are released.

The pokemon 10th anniversary DVD is a grand deal if you’re looking for pokemon episodes on DVD. This collection contains 30 episodes(3 for each Pokemon in the top 10) ranging from the first season of pokemon to some of the newest episodes.

And to top it all off it’s CHEAP. Currently it’s $22 and the single 10th anniversary DVDs, which acquire 3 episodes each, are $10. 30 episodes for the stamp of 6 is what you’re getting. I suggest buying this ASAP. Gain in on the capable deal while you mild can.
